Thanks, but I have no idea which model snare it would be. The kit was new in '87, so I guess it's the snare would have come with that year's Swingstar set. It's just an old chrome snare that's been sitting in my closet, and I thought I'd fix it up and either give it away or sell it for a few dollars. I don't remember taking the strainer off, so I've no idea what it even looked like. It's just got two holes in the snare about 2 inches apart. No worries if you need more details. Just a shot in the dark really. I appreciate the reply though.

Thanks very much for the offer Gerald, but I'd rather maintain the drum's integrity rather than drill it. I know it's a cheap drum, but back in the day, I played a lot of gigs with it.
