Jon, looks like my sizes are the B304 kit, in the 76/77 catalogue, before the Resonators even show up, but my toms had the resonator shells.

The bass drum did not. I was thinking maybe it had been removed but there were no wood piece supports for the resonator insert. Did You notice the wood color difference inside my floor tom with the Resonator insert removed compared to the toms. Dark Mahogany. I wonder if the toms are birch? Stedi, what size is that largest floor tom? Never seen anything like that.

All you guys sets look really great. Some really interesting kits.

What a great bunch of drums you guys have. I love the Premier Art Deco lugs; in my opinion they are the most attractive lugs ever made. I have a restored set of Premier Art Deco drums from the Late 50's or Early 60's. They were in terrible shape when I got them, so I have had to re-wrap them and replace a few parts, but they look great now and sound fantastic. If any of you have a few spare Art Deco Premier floor tom lugs, please let me know -- I need 16 of them.

The 304 has 13x9 and 14x10 toms - the 604 12x8 and 13x9.

Sometimes Premier kits came with mixed woods - however, the kits of this period are mostly mahogany, but Resonator linings are always birch.

Besides my mid 90's Genista, I would have to say my outfit 54. Just picked it up last week with the original royalace snare and gigged it the very next night. Its in perfect condition and the guy I got it from, has owned it for 5 years and got it from the original owner. It still had the original everplay heads and they were replaced, but they came with the kit when I purchased it last week.

I am posting from my phone, so can't post pics up of the kit. But its one sweet kit and the wrap is near perfect. Its bdp if that's how you say it. Wish I could upload pics from the phone to show you guys.

Hi everyone,

My personal two Premier Top Ranks are: "Silver and Gold".

(Silver Medal is shared between a Jazz and a Rock -Pics will follow- Guy. See Signature).

Early '70s Mahogany Shells, like mentioned here before. Never had the Chance to play Resonators or '60s Premiers. I'm teaching on two '90s Premier XPK Sets which are fine, and played on a APK from that time and they were great, too.

I put Remo Vintage A Heads on the 707 (Gold), coated Ambassadors on the 303 (silver) and Remo CS on my latest Kit (silver II) for that '70s Rock Sound and they all sound excellent. Clear Ambassadors on the Bottom.

In Terms of Sound, Quality and Style those Kits are way ahead of all my Previous Ludwig, DW, Yamaha and Tama Kits.

DJ,

the silver one is called Silver Star...and the gold one is Golden Sun...

I like the silver finish better myself....just my own :2Cents:..

I have a lonely snare in that that needs a kit to go with it!

I see SS in the 72 and 73 catalogs...but no others....only made 2 years?CryBaby
