Can anyone tell me the value of a mint BOLLERO kit? The Pearl ones, not the STAR.

Check the completed listings on ebay using Bollero and the various names on the badges in this thread. If you find some drums that look comparable to your set, you'll get some idea of the value of your drums. Be sure to factor in any shipping costs.

Yeah, I tried that, no luck. I can't find anything on them at all, just what I've seen on here.

Big 26, if you start a new thread with some good, clear pictures of your set, a few of us might be able to give you an idea of what your set is worth. Without pics, or any more info than the badge name, it is rather difficult to say. We don't know what the color or pattern of the wrap is, the sizes, how many drums are included in the set, if there are missing parts, etc, ect.

Yes, or even if it's an artichoke disguised as a drum set! Artichokes are crafty devils...

I figured it out. I have replaced the front skin as whoever owned it b4 painted the skin, the bass pedal is not original, just a crappy old Yamaha, and the top part of the cymbal arm is not original to the kit, but I believe the bottom part to be. There is very little ware and tear on them, in great shape, and sound really good for a little mahogany kit. The toms, and snare have reinforced hoops, and it looks like someone reinforced inside the bass drum with a fibreglass coat around the where the legs come in the drum. If anyone can help me out as to maybe the year, or their value, I'd greatly appreciate it.

You all seem very cool and many very knowledgeable which is what I need. A little bit of someones knowledge to help me identify the actual year and model of a kit i bought from a friend. They are a vintage Yamaha kit. He told me (as he was informed but who knows how good his info is) its a 1983 yamaha kit made from beech wood and this is the only year they made them in beechwood in this model. Amazingly enough all serial numbers match. Really lol they do. Im upstairs right now but if needed I can take a pic and or write the serial number down. I do however have a pic or 2 handy. Can anyone identify and give me a non-biased oninion?

I couldn't help you simply from those photos- a close up shot of the badge showing the serial # would definitely help identifying Yamaha drums. A shot of the interior shell of one of the toms or bass drum also would help. Good luck and thanksSumo DudeSumo

Any clues about "Asama"? I'm one of their maddest supporters (three high end kits: Asama 900 et Asama 1000 and eight or nine "camphor burl" snare drums, parallel strainer)

impossible to get any informations about these very nice and peculiar drums, a very sturdy mix between Tama Superstars and Sonor Signatures.

I have never seen one besides the one in your photo (living, playing and collecting drums in Japan for 12 years now)

Of course the tom holders look to be Pearl and the lugs look either 80s Yamaha or Tama style...hmm... They look like very nice drums- congrats
