all this does not change the fact that the snare drum works very well, just have to look closely what's been done...
I hope this IS realy Premier 2000 from '60 :D
If anyone knows - which drumhead is recommend for this snare drum? I had some Evans genera dry, but seems to be too muffled sound with it...
That is a EARLY version of a 2000 snare!
I have never seen one in person with that badge...
They show them in the 1968 catalog with that badge...and I THINK that was the first year of issue...nice!flower
Hi everybody,if anyone knows to confirm - is this Premier Outfit 51 from 1958? I've collected some photos from the internet, so I compared the drum - it looks to me like this is it. Any comments are welcomed...Please, do not pay attention to the bronze colored hoops, easy to remove :)[Attachment: 61914]
Cool snare!
Wood Prem snares are always elusive to me...for some reason...
Missed a 2001 model 6-1/2 by 14 on CL last year by 1 day for $30!crying2-07

Fascinating is that Premier chrome finish, after 40+ years has no trace of rust :)
I think I read somewhere that chrome plate was made at Jaguar factory...

All others wood Premier snares I've tried before were unconvincing (Lame) :D, except this one and Project One 14x8"...
