Hi everybody,
if anyone knows to confirm - is this Premier Outfit 51 from 1958? I've collected some photos from the internet, so I compared the drum - it looks to me like this is it. Any comments are welcomed...
Please, do not pay attention to the bronze colored hoops, easy to remove :)

Nice. It certainly looks like a '51' but with the shallower Royal Ace snare. The BD T-rods don't look right though. Cool kit. I'm just working on a kit from this era as well - also with bongos http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=40180
BD rods are from the 70's...not sure on claws...

Oh dear... I am sorry to say you have there a bit of a pup.
The bass is 50s Olympic (original Ts/replacement claws), as are the bongos.
The snare is a right mess. It is a Premier, albeit a cut down Super Ace made to resemble a Super 4 or RA 4" Piccolo. You can see the original lug fixing holes quite clearly. Bit of a mongrel i'm afraid.
Bass and bongos should sound good, the snare I would imagine might give you problems. Hopefully you can still get the engagement lever to work correctly despite its unfortunate previous tete a tete with a hacksaw.

@Spart - On the contrary, snare drum sounds fantastic, snare lifter works very good, also and bongos sound good, but the bass drum is that one I could not tune... The problem is probably due to the drumheads are not made of plastic, but some kind of skin.
@blairndrums - I have other original claws but missed one, so I replaced the old with some new claws, just because of BD functionality.
T-rods are probably replaced over time, but are appropriate for the drum.
Or, maybe the whole drum was just a nice copy of Premier :)
I want to use the drum for some swing and beebop gigs. If nothing else, at least the appearance of the drum is from this era. :)
Btw, if anyone thinks that this drum has some value?

Further to your "deleted post"...
Take one of the lugs off chum... All will be revealed!
Yr interior shot of the snare quite clearly shows the previous fixing hole, star washer indent n'all. That is from the previous (factory) fitted lug, single point fixing.
Those old calfskins can be rehabilitated with care. Plenty of advice on this forum, just mark off their positions before removal! Nothing like the sound off them on these old shells, especially if "the retro" is yr thang.
