Hello, and help with mystery drums

Dude..Yamaha 7000 series from late 78,9 ply toms ,10 ply bass drums made out of mahogany and camellia wood plys.
Some Hardware swapped out for Pearl,YD7000-5 kit.I guess you have doubts?

LoLoLoLo
Ha ha thanks Steve. I am looking for reassurance. Are you sure about the lugs? That's what is causing my doubt. I will go out to the shop and take the tom mount off and see what is underneath. I want to clean it up anyway. If you are totally sure, I will contact Yamaha and find out a bit more history.
I'm pretty positive.Just click on the link that is on the DW forum page, and look for yourself.
Remember it's the 78 catalog,and the 7000 series,(NOT the 9000 series drums,which have different lugs).Same lugs,same color,same finish,same floor tom brackets,same shell.

I guess what makes me second guess is that those lugs in the 78 catalog, on the 7000 series, taper consistantly along their length. The ones on my set have sort of a secondary bevel, to borrow a woodworking term. They have two faces, not a single face, similar to some Sonor lugs from back then.

Those are exactly the same lugs, the same floor tom brackets, the same legs, the same finish, the same amount of plys, the same bass drum T's and claws, the same rims, the same wood grain.
You can't just focus on a single thing. You also have to look at the big picture.
Keep looking at those shinney chrome lugs in the catalog form 78,and the nasty ones on those drums.......the same lug........
Steve B.........out.
