I ran across a unique set of Rogers. It had a triple tom mount on the bass drum. Drums were very beefy and the stands were gargantous. Any idea what era these drums are from? Something tells me that I need to own them for some strange reason.
Strange Rogers Kit - Triple Tom Bass Drum Mount
Here give this a look ? http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/images/rogers_sets/1976-77_rogers_drumsets5.jpg
That is them! So 1976/77 was the only years the Londoner Six was made? I know little of Rogers but I have heard people rave over them. Are these good drums? Now I really want them because I have a set of 76 Ludwig 3-plys that need some friends. I am stuck in the 70's/80's Help2
The triple mount was used all during the Memriloc period, including after Rogers name was sold and imported shells used. The actual 6 drum configuration was not offered for long, but any 3rd memriloc drum and even cymbal holders could be fitted to any of the mount holes. Check the Rogers catalogs to get ideas.
Yes you should own then, you cant go wrong. You will love them!
Thank you!

Those are excellent drums! Get them if there in decent shape. You can create several different setups with those drums. Even though my drums wraps have some cracks and a split on the floor Tom wrap, I love them. Great sounding kit my Londoner Five. 1977.
I called the store back and they verified they have the reinforcement rings, so based on my limited one hour research this would make them the 5 ply's from the mid 70's. The store wants $770 for them with no snare. That seems high to me. Thoughts?
This tri-tom configuration wasn't unique to a particular catalog setup. Weren't all the Memriloc mounts capable of taking a third tom post or cymbal post?
