From green glass drum

Thanks for the pics. So, is the gold glitter wrap under the green where the stars are?Complete key holder with key too!Stunning!I never knew about these sets until I joined this forum. Thanks Again. sa=ggd

Yes in this case it is underneath the blue - the layer with the blue color (paint or whatever it is) has clear see through areas for the stars and you can see the gold glass sparkles through the clear areas. This is I think the full dress version of Autographs of the Stars as I read from this catalog page.

hope you don't mind but I thought these were so cool that a I made a hard copy which now resides on the wall of my shop.

I do this so that all the young drummers(and some older ones) can see where it all came from.

They don't make stuff like that any more.

True classics are ageless. That is what you have there my friend.

That is one fan-friggin-tastic kit! Thanks for sharing, man. I think the snare would have a solid mahogany shell, right?

Been trying to decipher a few of those names.... BILL AMES .. was drummer with the RUSS MORGAN orchestra... (I think) this 1936 clip is Bill.. but whatever... puts you in another time zone..

Cheers

It is a 3 ply shell, maple poplar maple (I think).
