I saw some nippon ghakki drums once. They had some gaping holes and the guy had just hosed them off with a waterhose. Water was running out oof the stand when i picked them up and I said what the hell! He said "Oh I just rinsed them off with a water hose" I left

...oohhh yes, I remember those...you should have whupped him with the hose and taken possession just to show him you could....stupid people...can't we just all agree to lop off the heads of the stupid? I mean, afterall, stupidity IS a choice....

My favorite, self written quote:

here's some pictures of the snare-

hey Gk how are you? Nice snare and the only other one i have seen since buying mine on ebay quite a few years ago.. I have the same cool Orange Sparkle wrap. Same baseball bat Snare throwoff. But my buttplate has an adjustable round knob similar to the throw off.

Internal shell is a dark wood maybe mahogony? With lighter wood reo rings.

I'll post a pic soon.

Cheersand thanks for posting.

Welcome to a time consuming addiction, drumgrrl!!! That snare you describe is likely made by Star, later to become TAMA. If you would start another thread, including pix, we could diagnose it. As far as the b/b muffler, Ludwig sued Star to stop them from copying theirs and they were only in production for a short time, no more than 2 model years.
