Carlton drum kit

Loading...

Hello,

I have just joined the vintage drum forum and my first question is:

Does any one know about Carlton drum kits and rose morris snare drums?

I have a 4 piece carlton kit and a rose morris snare drum, any clues about age and value?

I have tried to attach a few photo's but they are too large for the site, not sure how to reduce the size.

Thanks to any one who can help

Hello!

You can read some English drum history here.

Drum History

Image Sizing Information

UK Drum time line (recently updated)

Without a photo, there is no way to easily value your items, so try and review the sizing information or just set your camera to a lower setting and take new pictures. Many cameras have a Web Photo setting or 640 x 480

Nimrod, can you post a pic of the kit ? I have only seen Carlton singles, never an entire intact kit.

Here's one I tripped across yesterday. The Honeycombs back in the day.

Jaye, The carlton drum kit is not entirely intact, it's got the arms missing and the bass drum spurs. I've attached a couple of photos including the rose morris snare drum.

I've also got a Zyn high hat and an Ajax cymbol

Thanks

It's a cool old kit, still. Big Q: do you have the bottom lugs for the toms ? ...or are they long gone ?

Jaye, the bottom lugs for the toms are long gone, pretty much what you see is all that I have. do you know any one who's looking for a restoration project or to reunite this kit with a carlton snare drum??

That's TOO bad. I mean, darn it, even if just the bottom lugs of the FT were still around, that would help because you could forego one rack tom and switch the liugs from one shell to the other.

I don't know of anyone offhand looking for these.

But just out of curiosity...can you post a pic of the inside of the shells ?
