Hi, I just acquired these rims for a project snare I'm working on. According to the seller they are Leedy "Knobby Gold". Is this correct?, and how should they be cleaned?

Looks like Leedy...there should be a Leedy Indianapolis or Leedy Elkhart stamp on the top rim...Looks kind of like Nobby Gold or at least faded (old lacquer) Nooby Gold...simple cleaning with 3-in-one oil or lemon oil will brighten things up...restoring the NG is another story involving stripping the old/dead lacquer off down to the original copper plating, polishing and re-gold-lacquering the rims...Nobby Gold is trickier than L&L ArtGold so you need to see what the other hardware looks like vs. your newly acquired rims...hope that helps.
