Looks pretty close to the 1978 F-11D configuration from the catalog section. I'd say the "white" drums were added, as the dimensions are different. That set is a keeper...

Great drums! Just like one of my sets, except you have an extra bass drum. Rewraps are easy on these, the old wrap is only held together at the seam. I rewraped half the kit with white marine pearl as one kit. I built the other half of mine into a smaller kit, 18" as a bass drum. I tried to paint with lacquer, and it was a complete success, but very trying; Fiberglass has thousands of tiny holes that need to be tended to before the lacquer is put on. Trust me, get wrap material. These drums will last for generations.

Any idea on what a good price would be for this set...cymbals, hardware drums, etc.? I have had it for many years but now I am curious if I paid high or low.

Billnvick is your man on these. They won't command a particularly high resale price but they are generally nice (and loud) drums. As mentioned, some of the drums may have been added later. I had a similar set in wood fiberglass. These are probably mid 70's. Built like a tank they will last forever.

The set is probably pieced together over time (NOT that that is a bad thing!). Hints to that are, when studying the pictures, for one thing the double tom-holders/arms appear to be of two different varieties (one late 70s, one 80s). Also, some of the stands are original late 70s versions, but the boom stands are definitely newer than that. The TAMA SD and Ludwig Speed King pedals lend support to that idea, too.

I would say, however the drums themselves are probably out of the later 70s -- and if the badges are all the same they are all out of the 70s. Pearl did produce FG shells for a short time in the 80s, but used the badge that is usually associated with their Export Line of drums. The spurs that are shown in the one picture are definitely the later 70s model (the early-to-mid 70s version had a round knob instead of the wing-type of screw).

Again, nice drums! Value... what you can get out of them. tnsquint hit the nail-on-the-head: they are indeed nearly indestructible, but NEVER seem to command the prices that Ludwigs and other vintage drums bring. I'd keep them if I were you!

If I did sell the ENTIRE set-up, IYO, what would be a good price? I paid $1200 but I am not sure how much longer they will be able to reside in the living room. When I bought them I really didn't know anything about them other than they were big and loud, a guy at work had them for sale and I wanted them cause they were way way better than the little set I had been playing.

Thoughts on a price range would be much appreciated.

try a music shop or pawn shop or a plant and equipment valuer, or just ask what you paid for them.

You paid too much for them. If somebody offered you $1000 for this set, take that money and run. You'd get a better price piecing this set out one drum at a time on eBay.
