It does appear to be the case. That will be difficult to find. Very attractive drum however. Good luck finding those tension rods.

You are right! I'm three years looking for it! Thanks for commenting.

They're still in the catalogue. Have you asked a Tama dealer?

I suggest having a machinest make you some if you cant find them.

I've taken to a specialist. Was left in his workshop the broken rod and one good. You know what happened? He lost the good. Now I need two rods. Mind Blowi

Thank you!!

Hi, friend.

Yes, I even bought two rods but when we arrived (4 months later), I realized that they are not compatible. Look at the picture below:

In January this year I ordered an apparently larger version of this rod, MPL1L ('L' from 'Large') but last week the store told me that Tama has discontinued the part and they could not send me.

Sorry for my English, which is very rusty. :) Thanks for commenting.

The "screws" you are referring to are called Rods.A Tama guy will help you.I do not know the thread size. Might be 12-24.

Sorry Gustav, Did not know it tuned both heads from 1 side.

You probably knew they were called rods also. My bad.

How does it work?

Do you have enough parts to partly assemble so we can see how the parts engage. Couple more pics?

I never knew of this drum.

My suggestion would be to replace the Omnitune setup with standard tube lugs and rods until you find the parts you need. A real drum service store is going to have those parts tucked away in a bottom drawer somewhere...

I would suggest sending a quick message to as many of the major drum shops in the US and Japan as possible. Also post on the Tama forum if you have not. You have already done a fantastic job of pulling together the necessary information so might as well forward it to those that might be able to help.

Those will probably be a bear to find but it will be SWEEEEEET if you can get it back together.

Yes I agree. I have the 5" version. It's a lovely drum, but I find tuning and changing heads a hassle. And for some reason I never tune the bottom head from the top. Plus I'm always looking for that special tuning key. Why do I keep it? It sounds and plays like dream. Really a classy drum, IMO.

Friend, decided to follow his suggestion and changed the entire set of lugs.

As the distance between the holes in the shell is very specific (48.5mm), had to make customized lugs with the company egodrumsupply.com.

The service was excellent and I can already see that the material is of great quality.

My search continues. I still want to see this snare all original.

Thank you all for your help.
