Hello all Drum lovers.

My dad age 91 is disposing of some of his collection of cymbals and other drum accessories.

1. Cymbal is a Zildjian 20 inch marked , K. Zildjian & Co.

Istanbul.

Made in Turkey.

The weight is 1850 Grms.

2nd Cymbal is also a Zildjian 14 inch, marked the same as the 20 inch.

The weight is 650Grms.

I would like an idea of value of each please.

There is also an Ayotte Snare drum 14x5 1/2

Serial Number 01834 Made in Canada.

He wishes to dispose of these as soon as possible.

These are worth a ton of dough. Please be careful and do NOT sell them until you get a GOOD idea of their worth. I'm talking possibly many hundreds of dollars EACH. Take your time and do not rush the deal. Do not sell to the first offer. Seriously.

Welcome... Hi Phil, could you post some pics of the items? There are some very knowledgeable members in this Forum that could assist you more accurately if you include good photos...

I have Zildian cymbals early 60's but no name or anything I know they're Zildian because we grew old together.

For the record, Heaven does forbid knowingly taking advantage of another. This forum is here to allow us a place to assist each other and to communicate with one another on vintage gear. It's not a trap for the unwary and uninformed. Take from this what you will. It's a reminder to all who may be surfing and checking the place out.

The 20" is VERY collectible, especially at that weight. Of course it would depend on the condition. If it's free of cracks, keyhole, etc. you're looking at more than "hundreds". You can check online auction sites for what similar 20" Ks have gone for.

The 14" isn't as collectible, but is still a very desireable cymbal. I've found a lot of people are picking up 14s and pairing them up for hi hats. At that weight, yours would make a nice sounding top hat.

Not to take away from the expertise on this site, but it might be a good idea to join up at the Cymbalholic forum and ask for their expertise. They live and breathe this stuff.

I agree that you need to get an estimation on what this stuff is worth before you even begin to consider selling it. It *might* be able to sell for thousands. But, pics would help tremendously!
