What Snareshell is this?

Loading...

HY friends,

i do need your help again! I receveid a parcel from the Post today, where I got a snare shell that i got on e-bay for 1 $ ;-)

The pics on ebay were very bad, i just saw that the shell has reinforcementring and so i decided to bid! I was lucky that noone seem to be interessted! I won the auction, and for that money i didn`t give a damm:-)

So, what i would like to know is, i am guessin that this shell is an Roxy late 60s.

Maybe some of you guys would know more about it?Help2

Hallo Christian,

You bought a Trowa shell 14 x 4,5. It's a transition or last Trowa model (or the same later Tacton)-- with eccentrical operated parallel throwoff and famous leveral muffler. Shell is made from 3-ply hot calendered beech with beech force-rings and rounded edges (it's not an earlier Trowa with angle-cutted edges and also not a more later Tacton without calendering process).

You can find a lot about these snares on this site's pages.

Cheers,

George.

Hi Christian,

But seller placed in Ukraine, as I can see he is also speak russian except ukranian but maybe english or german too --- you can register on that forum and try to ask him in PM (use a Google-translater)... :) what a problem could be with payment and shipping - I don't know...

MFG,
