Advice re: Value of the Premier Vintage Kit

Loading...

I was doing ballpark...

I was surprised the other day when I saw the Pound was only worth about $1.50...

Usually...it hangs at about $1.75..

When I went to the UK for the first time in 1985....Dollar was very strong....$1.25 for a Pound!

Second time,in 1988....it was closer to $1.75....quite a bit more $$$

Yes,you are right Ron..grey is considered a classy color....but that Burgundy.....WOWSA!

You have one of the sweetest kits on the planet...IMHO......

Hello, I am the seller of the shimmer bop kit, first I must say thank you for the interest and comments, I just want to make a couple of points about the kit, I have owned 3 original vintage Prem bop sets in my time and I rate this the best example I have seen (did anyone see the oyster kit last year that I sold?). This is why I think this kit is a gem >>, All the shells are all Birch and is a pure set and NOT a fake, I think the Birch Prem shells are nicer wood than the African Mahogany, all the other BOP sets I have seen are made from mixed shells including the other 2 bop sets I have owned this set is pure. This set was made in 1967, the badges are the nicer older "silver stripe" type. The condition is simply amazing, even ALL the heads are original and in great condition, if this was a 20 12 14 Prem kit in great condition with Grey shimmer wrap I would price around £400, so and extra £1200 for a smaller bass drum?? A Gretsch 60`s round badge in the UK with a real 18" bass drum would cost In The UK £6000+ (if you could get one!) but a progressive jazz round badge Gretsch 20 12 14 would cost around £2000 in top original condirion, size is everything and in this condition and colour and an early example that was a special order I do not think will show up again like this. Thanks John
