I have 2 i beleive to be "Vintage" slingerland cymbal stands. They came with my 68 Ludwigs. I would like to know if they are worth anything and maybe about how much. I have them listed on the trade page to trade for some ludwig stands. If I dont have any luck I will probably sell them, or keep them. heck if I know. Anyone know anything about these?

Hey,
I believe those are model 66 cymbal stands (Buddy Rich). They were made in the 70's. The tilters look strange to me. Someone else can shed some light on that. That's as far as I can go, 'cause I'm fairly weak on vintage drums. Someone else will jump in and hit with a bit more precision. I've seen them on ebay anywhere between 15 and 150 bucks. I recently purchased a couple of them and can vouch that the cost spread is ridiculous.
I have been told by an old school drummer that the stands are indeed 66's buddy rich stands. i have traded them for some luddy stands from the same era of my 68 luddys. I cant believe how cool this site is!

Someone else here had asked about dating the red-label Slingy stands a while back..so these are mid-60's hardware, then , eh ?
The red labels came out in the late 70's-80. I owned a 70's Buddy Rich, and Boom stand w/counter weight, and they were black labels, and the base was not wide on the BR#66 until a little later. Also the top section on your stand is not Slingerland. My first set was a Slingerland.
Do you have any old pics of it ?
Looks like a Japanese one to me.
I have just about decided that all that is slingerland on thses stands are the bases, bein as how I dont own a slingerland kit, it just dont seam feasable for me to invest time or money in the stands. I'll do a saved search on ebay for my 68 luddy stands

Hey, I have one of these or something close to it. A friend gave it to me years ago broken and dirty with 3 kinds of tape all over it and so it sat 'til now.
The only real issue was the middle Tbolt was broken off inside the fitting. After no luck with an extractor (it broke), I just took a tiny diamond dremel bit and cut a new deep slot in it and backed it out with copius amounts of wd40. Found a replacement bolt and it works perfectly, cleaned up pretty well although it has seen it's day for sure. Just gotta find some feet.
Not sure what it would go for??? Not sure what I am gonna do with it, I like it and will probably use it with my Luddy but I might be open to a trade for something that fits my kit better.
