From Boora

Then I would be left without a players kit....lol....I will just watch and see if there is any bites. I know who my direct competition will be, he buys the vintage kits in Melbourne for next to nothing and on sells them for stupid prices! I dont like getting in bidding wars and I just prefer to cut my loses or check out gumtree.

Yes, like the 602 hats he bought for $200 from me and has for sale right now for $395. The ad neglects to mention what I did in the sale - they are not a matched pair. Took so long to pay I wanted to cancel the transaction, but he did come through. I do wish I'd sold them to someone else though. Now I know.

That's him. I got a little 60's premier kit of eBay last year for $700 and I sold it for the same price to a young guy. If I buy drums or cymbals and don't like them, I always sell it at the price I paid for it. If I had seen them, I would have jumped on them cymbals.

I offered the seller BEFORE the auction ended $1400, BUT never heard from until 5-6(or more hours BEFORE the auction ended), he said for me to call him.But i explained my situation in that 1ST i HAD TO&MUST sell my kit on fee/prey bay BEFORE i could buy his! :(, i also asked if he was interested in a trade 1.5 hrs BEFORE the auction ended.I' ve got a feeling that the bloke we're talking about (Andrew Charles/Lilja) from Drum Palace has bought it! :(.He'll attempt&try to sell it for $3000+ ! :(.

Well, I had a serious interest in it.. A bit of a downer was the FT non standard head issue.. Having to shear away the grooves for tension rods etc..

Anyhow, my plumber made my decision for me by hitting me with a 5000$ bill to dig up the yard and lay new pipes...

Cheers

Man I hear you. Why didn't we all study plumbing instead of rudiments?

A friend of mine (great drummer) had a go on that sale too. The skin sizes would put me off. But it is a nice kit. Why would you auction a vintage kit to finish at after 10 pm on a weekday?
