I had a set from the late 70's and liked it a lot. It appears identical to yours actually. I had the second floor tom as well which really "boomed". These drums, from what I've read, were made in Taiwan. So are a lot of drums. If tuned properly and babied a bit, Westburys are good drums for the money.

Pearl made Westbury. They also made other names in the 60's & 70's for export. They stopped doing this in the mid 70's. I have a Westbury chrome snare that I bought at Manny's in NYC in 1974. I couldn't afford any of the American snares at the time, and the typical cheap Japanese ones were horrible. The owner told me it was made by Pearl, and showed me a Pearl one, and it was identical. Back then I thought all Japanese stuff was inferior, but this snare looked and sounded as good as any snare on the market. I paid $75, and it looks and sounds as good as any snare. I've seen similar drums up through the '80's at least. I have a couple of sets myself.

Any number of stenciled names, Maxwin, CB-700, Reuther, Percussion Plus, they all had the same "coffin" lugs and, later, the Pearl-style 7/8" tom mounts.

I have a set of CB-700's in lauan, and a Maxwin bass drum in lauan, and then a full set branded Speedfire 1000 in some tighter, lighter wood, maybe poplar, basswood, or agathis. The Speedfire has Power toms that I de-powered on the table saw so that now they are between Standard and FAST.

My current drum project is painting the Speedfires in black/gold Duco pattern. The white wood exteriors need a lot of filling.
