My modest collection...

PowerTone; powerTone; Montineri; Luxor; Acrolite (only one PowerTone remains; the other was/is parted out)

(Not shown is a very recent acquisition of a 6.5X13 oak Yamaha snare that will not be photographed for a while because I'm playing the crap out of it! What a drum!)

Also not shjown is a 3.5X13 brass piccolo (no name) that sounds really great, but too dry for the jazz stuff.

Last photo is the clean SDM5 which is a pretty damn nice snare drum believe it or not.

EDIT=> I need to take a recent picture because there have ben a few changes lately I am realizing....

Cobalt Blue Yamaha Recording Custom 20b-22b-8-10-12-13-15-16f-18f
Red Ripple '70's Yamaha D-20 20b-12-14f
Piano Black Yamaha Recording Custom Be-Bop kit 18b-10-14f
Snares:

Yes, the Louis Bellson is a Remo, 75th anniversary snare drum in honor of Louis' 75th birthday. There were a thousand in a series. I also have a 5x14 Suprphonic, a Black Beauty Super, a Ludalloy Super, an acro, and a Slingy Student Deluxe.

I only have four snare drums. Three of which I'm using as toms and a bass.

1950s Kent

1930s Leedy 13x9, Slingerland 14x10 & 16x10. All single tension. I added extra rods to the two smaller drums. Sounds fat.

Currently looking for a large bass drum of similar vintage.

Chicago Dave - That is one seriously cool drum kit! Love it.

I've been following this thread for the longest time never once thinking that I had a "snare drum collection". I don't know why, I just never thought of my drums as a "collection". I started adding up my snares in my head and I realized when I got to 11 that I, in fact, do have a snare drum collection! Came as a revelation if you can believe it.

There are three snares missing in the photos. Two that I recently sold, an early 50's Leedy 5x14 mahogany snare with 8 Imperials, and a second Ludwig pre-serial COB I had picked up recently. The third missing member is my 6.5x14 mid-70's Slingy Bronze. It's not as large as some of the collections shown so far, but when I stacked them all together, I was impressed and even a little surprised with the snares I have accumulated over time. All are quality drums.
