Thank you guys. I hope you'll forgive me if i do not want to reveal the way this finish has been achieved. I spend a lot of time developing new and unique ( i hope) finishes. I can only say that it is not a wrap and i didn't "beat the crap out of the shell" as some carpenters suggested elsewhere. The shell itself is intact and with this finish is no worse than a shell painted and covered in high gloss for example. Of course some prefer to see the wood etc. Me, i am just sick of seeing the same thing over and over again.

Swim against the current and you might get to the source! :)
