Early 30's Ludwig Black Beauty - Needing parts

Loading...

I need some help in finding a few missing parts for my ludwig black beauty I'm restoring. Does anybody know of any resources. It's a 5 by 14 and I'm missing one tube lug, approximately 2 inches. I need 3 hoop claws, that the guts of the professional snare strainer. Does anybody have these parts or know someone who might have them? Thanks.

You should be able to get exact replica parts from AK Drums. Also some of the most amazing snare drums on the planet...http://www.ak-drums.com/home.html

Try this, same parts and you could strip them out for about the same as it would cost you for individual original parts if you don't want to use reproduction parts.

I did the same on the restoration of a 1930's Leedy Dual.

I contacted Adrian and ended up shipping the entire drum to him.

Great person to deal with and his craftsmanship is simply mind blowing.

Good luck on your project, don't forget to post a few pictures if you can.
