They have what looks like two rivet holes near the outer edges.

I do have an old UFiP that I really like. I'm playing it with my 40's Gretsch kit 24/13/16 & 6.5.14......great little 11" splash cymbal - lots of life.

I didn't win them - my max bid was $93.

They look to be similar to these early pre Azco-Zilco cymbals. I'd guess from the 30s-40s and probably Turkish made Zildjian seconds at that. Early Zilco's from what I've been able to find were excellent with plenty of hand hammering and lathe work until the brand name was revived with manufacturing starting up many years later in Canada. These were created into a lower cost non-hammered cymbal line in the late 60s-70s. The cymbals had a new stamped logo with Zilco-Azco/Canada on them. I've also read that most people could never even figure out what made them Zildjian seconds in the first place...maybe some slight cosmetic imperfections?

I'm looking at trading a very nice 40's Gretsch shellpack for some 50's Old Stamp K's (posted here on the Trade Forum). No takers yet....it would be a good deal if someone wanted to part with their cymbals - the drums are amazing and hard to find these days (all 40's shells and hardware).

Constandinople USA underneath then yes there made in 1937/43..vintage high end stuff / ...if just Zilco with out the extra KEY words..then made in Canada New Brunwick factory from 70/74..they were avedis 2nds / .,,balancing not right / etc etc..and AZCO was under Zilco..

I have a 22" Zilco from the 30's and I wouldn't sell it for $1000.00. The cymbals is nice and thin with a great amount of wobble and sounds incredible. Forget the name and listen to the cymbal, that's what's important. That being said, regardless of the age, a cymbal or drum are worth as much as someone is willing to pay for them.

The original Ebay link with the Zilco high hats which sold for $94.00 don't have all the pictures available anymore that were there at the time of the auction. Those pictures showed an extreme amount of hand lathing and hammering on those cymbals and more so over the pair that sold for $305 recently.

I believe that both sets of cymbals were at least 60 yrs old from the antique looking handles and hardware (orchestral cymbals) that were on them. Also, both sets had extreme amounts of handwork done and appear to be somewhat thinner too like the older ones???

As far as I can tell, the Azco Canada made cymbals say exactly that under the Zilco stamp??? I've seen some of the Azco made stamped & inked cymbals and they look nothing like these older sets in the quality or handwork that was done to them (IMHO). I would really like to know more about the complete Zilco line and hope more chime-in on the subject too!

PS...Yes, something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. That's exactly how a fair market value is created on things.

*Late 30s / Very THIN... 377g bottom / 335g top

I found the quality of the cyms great / however to lite for me (and I love thin cyms)..they were very trashy sounding..no cracking...

I was keeping them for a cocktail kit that never materialized...lolol.

One of Zildjians (American cym makers / left the company to produce his own line...then the recession hit and ruined his plans to overthrone Zildjian.
