Does anyone know when Slingerland started using metal bass drum hoops? I am looking at a kit that has black and silver badges and metal bass drum hoops, but also has a rail consolette. The consolette is positioned off center but has two tom mount arms on it (maybe one was added?). It looks early 80's to me but I am a little thrown off by the consolette.
Slingerland Bass Drum Hoop Question
Yes 80's for the Chrome hoops, That could be a rewrap though.. with after market hoops.. The badges look like Black & Gold.. are they numbered badges? can you get a closer shot of a Badge..
Cheers

Really? The badges look black and silver to me. The snare seems to have a black and gold badge. These are the only photos unfortunately. Thanks for your insight. It very well may be a rewrap.
Also, the drum head on the rack tom looks like a 70's Slingerland head. But I guess that doesn't really mean all that much.
Theres a kit in either 69 or 70 catalog that has metal BD hoops. It mentions it as being new.
Eric,
That kit 67-70 would be the "Jet", but it had the "Beatersaver" hoops..
