Yeah, I would say between 200 and 300, but no more. The MIJs, when in great condition, ARE going up in price, but not 595 like he is seeking. I think he knows this, but just wants to start high so as to keep the sale price a bit higher, which in this case is warranted in my opinion - but since there is no matching snare (big bargaining chip there) I would say in that 200-300 range. The only exceptions are early Yammies, rare wraps, smaller BDs, etc.
With that said, know that you will most certainly be satisfied with this kit. These thinner shells with the re-rings are the best sounding of those MIJs from that era, early Yammies and R-360/R-380s aside (which may be better). Just know that you need to tune to the shell and these will give you plenty of body/bottom end. My best sounding BD (I have ever had) is this same ply/make (Pearl made) though it is a 15 incher (15x20).
Worth this 200-300? a solid YES.
