20" Vintage Floor tom

Loading...

I see a guy selling one for $100 dollars might buy because I've been playing drums for 10 years and have never played one. It's a white ludwig, rounded badge, 70's floor tom.

How much are they worth?

What do they sound like?

Should I buy? lol

thanks,

My band's website!

that would make a nice jazz base drum conversion

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

If it's in good shape, that's a steal!

What does it sound like? Ever hear Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture? You know, the cannon parts? About like that. Yes Sir

Really? Are 20" bass drums that hard to find that we should drill spurs into a rare 20" Ludwig FT?

There is a conversion kit for floor toms that do not require any drilling. The spurs fit in 2 of the floor Tom leg mounts. Like special legs. I don't have them but considering it for my 18" floor Tom.

Wonder if it will work for 18" and 20" floor toms.

I was fortunate to grab a great deal on a 79 Slingy JazzRock kit in Oak finish! The 20 floor tom is a BEAST to smack on, sort of like what a gong bass would sound like. I really don't thing I will ever sell that kit!

Vibes,

Good link, but it looks like it wouldn't work on a 18" or 20" FT as it requires the tom to have a standard Pearl-type mount already installed on the side to recieve the pedal post. Too bad, as I use my Rogers 20" with a cocktail pedal mounted to a leg, and this conversion kit would have given me options.
