Denny Carmassi Bass Drum!

Loading...

After a couple of years of negotiating this bass drum is finally in my collection. The kit was originally a special order for Mick Fleetwood. When the kit arrived, Mick took one look at that red paint job and passed on the kit. Denny Carmassi had recently joined Sammy Hagar and Hagar was doing the whole red thing at the time so Denny ended up taking the kit. The kit was used on Sammy Hagar "All Night Long", with Derek St. Holmes "St Paradise" and Gamma 2 & 3. It maybe on Sammy Hagar "Musical Chairs" as well but I'm not certain. When I was 15 years old I went to see Gamma play on the Gamma 2 tour so I actually saw Denny play this drum back then in 1981.

Unfortunately the toms were stollen years ago so this is the only drum left from those years in Denny's long career.

Wow that's amazing and it's still in perfect condition. The ultimate base piece for a Kick, Hat, Snare set-up?
