The Strangest Drum LIsting Ever

Loading...

I am just flummoxed by this. Why would anyone take the time and trouble to rebadge an old Pearl kit with Drouyn badges? People are so strange . . .

Not strange - just fake, I am afraid.

He still lists the kits origin as "unknown".

It is NOT unknown, it is a Pearl or a Pearl stencil!

Even though he knows its a fake, look at the asking price for it........who in there right mind would pay that for an old vintage pearl/stencil/unknown branded kit.

didn't mean to rail road your thread with my own, was having a break on night shift and couldn't believe my eyes so just put some thing up, in my haste didn't see your thread, but what a cracker, maybe some one just wanted a drouyn kit and being in brisbane might have had some connection to score some badges.the marching band i played in in adelaide used drouyn snares but not all had badges, now i know why.

i would consider the kit if they were f/glass only at the right price and would get a badge to boot.

It's a late 60's Pearl.. but I reckon in that condition 150 is more like it..

Mostly Pearl with mixed up hardware and Rogers logo heads.

That's odd.

If it was like $200 maybe, but not $900. The guy must be a smoker from way back to think that he is going to get that price.

I always checkout eBay here in Oz and gee some people are asking some ridiculous prices for there kits or snares.

The set is a 70's Pearl set..Does not look like F-glass shells to me at 900.00 way over price, maybe 150.00 for the set U.S.,

The sad thing the seller is a Music shop it looks like they should know what they have for sale...Maybe they are trying to rip someone off?..Mikey
