Im about to by a new drumset.

Ive have found a Slingerland champagne sparkle from the 70´s.

Ive love to now which type of wood and how many ply´s the drums have ?

It could...or it could be 5 ply...or something else. We would need pics, serial numbers, badges, ... something to help narrow this down. Is it possible to get some shots?

[COLOR="DarkRed"]Pics would help....obvious difference, chr_dot, would be if you see reinforcing rigns in the shell. if so, it's either mahog/poplar/maple...or, in the '70's, I think they were also doing maple/poplar/maple.

If there are no rings and the shells are thicker, then it's the more rockin' 5-ply variety.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=Green]The bass drum shows re-rings...so it's a 3-ply. The exterior ply is either mahogany or maple....

badges are black/silver so it's a 70's...I would think it to be maple/pop/maple....
