modern edges on vintage Ludwig

ok, I know general consensus is if the edges must be recut, cut original factory specifications.

fair enough, I get that , but has anyone heard a vintage Ludwig that had modern style edges recut and how did it sound ?

Define "vintage"

As far as I know, Ludwig has been cutting 45 deg edge since the "standard" 6 ply shells came out in '76.

I would consider that a "modern" edge.

well I guess a little earlier than that, you know like the older sixties edges that were sometimes 45 , sometimes 30, sometimes rounded or sometimes a combination of all 3 and regularly god awful dog rough.
