I found these for some friends who wanted a kit for their 11 year old boy to learn on. From the 1 photo in the listing it was hard to tell if they were any good but we bought them sight unseen anyway. They brought to me to clean up and get into playing shape for the kid and I couldn't believe the condition. I've stripped, cleaned and polished everything and there is no rust or pitting on any chrome. An easy clean up. Even the heads are all original Remo Sound Master except the 13" heads which had been over tensioned. Oh, and it is missing a rubber foot on one BD spur. The snare is not original and is cr@p but ok for learning.
These were Pearl's entry level drums in the 70s and made in Taiwan. Entry level kits these days here are depressingly gloss black or burgundy and the wrap is usually starting to wrinkle before they've left the shop. This glass glitter wrap is fantastic.
