OK, here's the latest pics. Please see previous posts for more detailed information...

1) the 10x14 ready to be cut down (as per previous post) and the interior(s) painted. As you can see, it's not been marked for the new drill holes.

2) the 9x13 ready to drill the new holes and the interior to be painted.

3) inside shot of filled holes (9x13). The lighter is the Rock Hard, the darker is the factory fill for the older style (hex) tom mount. Yes, this one is going to need a little more Rock Hard fill and a little more sanding!

Thanks for looking,

Bill

Fun stuff Bill. Thanks for the pics. How do you cut the shells to size? Tabelsaw?

Yep, my good-ole' 10" Craftsman tablesaw that I've had for years. It's NOT as old as I am, however! Just have to take it slow and easy and most of all VERY careful as of course the guard over the blade has to be removed! (Of course, I've always cut things that way and don't even know what has happened to that guard anyway!)

Yes well for some cuts you have to remove the guard. But I have a nice one that hangs over the blade. But the real saftey device is a removable splitter with kick back teeth.

Update Photos:

1) and 2) Really nice day in SEKs today! Sunshine, upper 50s, very little wind. I was able to haul these tubs outside and paint the interiors. Made a last minute change to using Krylon Fusion instead of the Kilz. The Fusion is supposedly specifically formulated for plastics. 2 coats took care of it, and the paint adhered to the FG shells very well.

3) Just a picture of the BD after the new holes to fit the Ludwig hardware specs were drilled.

4) and 5) Wrap installed and clamped on the 9x13, 16x16, and 14x22. Will remained clamped at the seams until at least tomorrow evening. I may drill through the wrap and install the lugs then (but probably will wait 'til Monday).

Done, for now.

The customer is supplying the rail mount, spur mounts, tom mount, and floor tom legs & mounts. When I get them they'll be installed.

Installed whatever heads I had available, as the customer will be installing his own new heads.

That is my intention. Like I said in the other thread (your Rogers one), I think that was a great idea!
