Hello Everyone - My drum is 12 x 15 and is missing four lugs and all of the snare hardware. I would really like to restore the drum and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to where would be the best place to find replacement hardware. Many thanks in advance for your help. Any idea what a drum like this would be worth?

I have pictures of the drum, but am having trouble uploading them at present. Happy to email them to anyone interested. gb

I would look on the Ludwig snare drum page to pin point the model and the year.

The drum also needs the key holder and there is not a lot missing from the strainer. There was not much more to those then the thumb rod and a possibly slider plate.

Then keep searching Ebay for the parts. They will eventually come up.. I always tell people looking for parts that vintage drum collecting requires a lot of time waiting.

I know people that have waited years for the correct item.

Then post it in the wanted section with a few photos and wait and see if you get a response.

Steve usually sends his parts requests to this forum. Most dealers like to keep certain parts on hand for their own drums that need repair.

It looks like I have a Model 220 TRIUMPHAL Parade Drum (12" x 15" mahogany) on my hands. Are the four numbers stamped inside the date the drum was made or the serial number? The stamp says "4704" inside the drum. Does this mean the drum was built in April of 1947?

I think you are right on what the drum needs. Just need the key holder, the thumb rod/slider plate, snare, and the four lugs.

THANKS for the help! Greatly appreciated!!!

I was digging through some parts the other day and ran across these.

The slider plate looks like the correct one and slides into the mounting plate (which you have) and the tension knob works on the threads and is the correct length.

From what I have learned from Mike Curotto talking about plating is that the nickel is under the chrome. So remove the chrome and you have the correct nickel part.

At least that is what I see.

You can provide the channel measurement to make sure my slider will fit.
