Looking at an older kit where the badge just says Pearl [not the script], and the interiors are white which looks factory done. Anyone know what line that may have been???

Wayne,

I'm not much of an expert on Pearls older than the script logo, so if these are older than that, I'm not going to be much help.

However, if it's newer that that, the only "white" interiors that Pearl had after that would be their wood-fiberglass line of drums from the 70s, at least as far as I can remember.

Unless of course someone painted the interiors white at a later date...

I only know from early 80s Pearl Export's, that they had the 'Acousti-Coat Sealer' coating inside - but that was beige in colour - not pure white.

Not sure if these are what you are talking about. This is a kit I looked at earlier this year. Got some info from the PDF. I can try to get you a link if you want. Hope this helps.

Hey Wayne. PM'd you with the info I have on those. Why didn't I buy it? I was very close to pulling the trigger on those. They were in great shape for the age. I guess it came down to what I really needed, and the money. I think the biggest reason may have been that I was forced to wait a full weekend because the seller was going away. This gave me time to think, and ultimately convince myself that I didn't really need them. If I had to choose that day, we would probably be talking about "MY" drums.:)

These are Exports from the eighties - and very unlikely to be white from the factory.

Jon...there,s another kit in Canada with white interiors so i do believe they are factory white. There is not a lot of info on them so they are mysterious.
