Who made Rogers cymbals in the 60's? Did they put their name on any?

Thanks Lucky

The '60s ones were, I think, Zildjians and they said Rogers on them.

They also had a deal w/ UFIP for a while...they produced the stock cymbals labeled "Pasha" with a moon/star logo in the late '60's-early '70's. Pashas appear in those catalogs.

Later ones with the Big R logo were produced by Azco (part of Zildjian) and were not very good musically speaking, although as colectors items thedy do fetch a decent penny.

The Pashas, FYI, are excellent cymbals. Italian handmade B20's...just sweet as can be...

From Gregg the G

I've got a med/hvy crash thats a pearl cym (green ink)Who made that?

Most Pearls were made in Japan, actually. if it is a b8 alloy, it was probably just made in Japan.

However, for a time there...Pearl and it's stencil brands (Revere, CB700) actually contracted with Italian cymbalmakers and their cymbals were Italian.

Zanchi F & F made Revere's for a time....and UFIP made some of CB's for a time (those are sleepers on eFlay....a CB700 cymbal that has a "Made in Italy" stamp.....oooh, those can be nice scores sometimes).

Most of Pearl's cymbals were Japanese B8's though (they often have the tiniest of "Japan" stamps somewhere under the bell or on the very edge of the cymbal)...they can vary...most are awful, but I have had some rides and 'hats which are very heavily worked and they were actually pretty dang decent....

The one I was looking to score I missed. I guess I must continue my search for that elusive ride.

This one was local, I think I would have a hard time buying a cymbal without playing it.
