It indeed is a beautiful kit, inside and out. Can not find a scratch anywhere!

That is a very cool mount system. I have a set of 63 Holiday's and I cannot get my 12" tom where I want it. I have about four different parts of hardware and cannot seem to figure out how to use them in order to get the tom in the right place. Perhaps if I post a photo some of you Rogers folks could give me some advice?

Yep a Tophat set I got mine in 1964 Beavertails are both your toms 8x12? and does your 16x16 have a extra knobby up high ? great set of drums and getting pretty rare to find them still together. that double tom mount is know as the dogbone style and to me it is the very best one they ever made lots of adjustment and it looks great.... congrats on your find notice the high knobby on the FT...

Thanks for all the compliments! Has the two 12" toms, but not the high knobby on the floor.

The switch to beavertail lugs came in 1963.

A time of transition, the move to Keller shells/modern edges instead of Jasper took place in that timeframe as well. For a brief period, drums using the new Keller shells/edges were built with the b&b lugs, a sweet combination. I've had a few of those and they sounded great.

My set is a 63, had the B&B lugs which were all breaking apart. I bought new old stock beaver tail lugs and mounted them on all the drums minus the snare which is still original. The kit sounds amazing and I gig out with it regularly. It has been basterdized by the changes I have made, but it's a players kit.

I use a RIMS mount for my 12" which is a drag. I wish I could find a way to get that tom in the right spot!

Ok..now is the time to ask..

I have heard that Pearl lugs from the 80's will fit right into the B and B lug holes..true?

What is it like having two toms the same size? Is tuning an issue?
