1968 Supra hoops - 2.0 or 2.3mm?

Just found a superb Supra, and some minor parts replacements would be a boost.

Checking out hoop choices. Is this a 2.0 rim? I checked it with my calipers as best I can, and they look right on 2.0.

But lord knows, I've been wrong before!

Interesting. These seem to be NLA... that would make me go with a 2.0, if I do.

Thanks!

I just discovered that the Cannon replacement hoops are 1.6 mm.

Would thinner hoops allow for more resonance? Or is there an advantage to having hoops that are, say, .4 mm thicker?

Hi Jack, Yes I put the "S" hoops on my 7.3x13, 6 lug Blaemire snare.

Converted tom shell, pre-drilled for 6 lugs.

Got the S style for more ridged support around the head with only 6 lugs.

It works good. Rim shots are a tad lower on the S. But fun and kind of different.

Hijacking over.
