You said the bass drum has no badge, did it never have one or is it just missing? Do the floor tom and rack tom have badges? That would help date it. Also what are the sizes?

The original snare, rack, and floor have black and gold badges with serial numbers in the 110,000 range. The non-original tom has a silver and black and was added later. One of the owners added a setomatic mount at some point and it is certainly possible it was removed then.
the drums are 12, 16. 20
a little better picture
[COLOR="DarkRed"]Pretty kit. The original looks to be glitter, the added tom a sparkle.
Likely when the setomatic was added, the badge was removed.
I don't know if we can nail it any closer than you already have.
Interesting info on the painted interiors...I thought those only happened earlier...but maybe I am confusing with the beige painted ones of the late '50's ?

I have a set of the red white and blue sparkle which I assumed were some sort of bicentennial theme. I just realized they were much earlier based on the interior paint and serial numbers. I saw the good Dr. refer to them as early 70s and was pretty surprised.
you are right about the added tom and the sparkle vs glitter. it is a subtle difference that you dont see from a distance.
Wow, huge difference between the sparkle and glitter. That is a nice kit.
