'80s Premier model?

Loading...

Anyone know what model Premier snare this is? It is allegedly from 1988, which would make it post Yamaha, correct? It's my understanding that Premiers were still good during this period. It's a great sounding drum, but I can't find a picture of another like it. Would the lugs tell me anything?

Thanks

Stephen

Looks like a Premier Genista model to me - all birch shell. Very nice drums.

Thanks for the reply. The seller was adamant that he bought this drum in the late '80s. I was told that Genistas didn't come along until the mid-'90s. Maybe the guy had a bad memory.

Anyone else have any ideas on what this drum might be called? It's an amazing snare, so finely-crafted

and sounds wonderful. It's definitely a top-of-the line snare drum.

Best
