The right Price??

Hi,

Im looking at this drum set and wondering if it's worth the $300 the seller is asking.

4 Piece kit, looks like 12" mounted tom and 16" floor tom. No extra holes, all original. Included is a 14" pair of Ludwig Standard Hats, 16" Ludwig Standard crash and a 20" unknown ride. Hardware, pedal and throne included.

Guy is firm on $300.00....

Thanks for your help

Looks good to me for that price. That looks more like a 14 floor than 16?

Looks like a fairly clean MIJ kit from the pic. If its all original and no extra holes, then I'd say it's worth it.

Thanks for the help. They wouldn't include the dog though. Will post pics when I get it set up.

Well I picked up the drums today. Got the four drums, HH, crash cymbal and ride cymbal, pedal, throne and a few stands. The set is really cool. Needs some TLC but I have all of the supplies necessary to clean them up.

The Bass drum is 20X14

Mounted tom is 13X9

Floor 16x16

snare 5x14

Some of the cymbals are Ludwig Standard.

Can't wait to clean em, replace the heads and play em.

Not sure of the plies or the wood type.

Take Care

Looks like a sweet old kit, and should polish up nice. The unfortunate thing here is that, with what you paid, and the time and expense to fully restore this kit, you'll probably be lucky to make that money back when you sell them. Bottom line here is, if you want the drums for yourself, or to restore and sell. Not a great deal for a restore and flip, (such is the nature of MIJ) but a nice looking vintage kit to fix up, and play yourself. I'd say you did okay. Look forward to 'after' shots.

I disagree....that is an all original kit with 8 lug snare and a Pearl. There should be no issue getting his money back on the drums alone, providing the wrap is good and all hardware (lugs, rods, hoops) is too

+1 with what BBK said! Judging by the Rogers-style tone controls (very cool!) this is about a 1968 kit. It looks all original and has a matching snare... all in a desirable color. The time and TLC it will take to clean the kit up is what most of us love to do anyway! So, give this cool Pearl kit the TLC it deserves and post pictures when complete. Best of luck with your project!
