Loading...

Hello,

I am in search of a Hinger Touch Tone Sewer Pipe Snare Drum for purchase. This drum is 6.5 x 14 inches and was made by Hinger Touch Tone. If you know of one for sale, please let me know. Thanks in advance for any information.

Don't have the drum you refer to but I do have a pair of Hinger black iron (?) hoops if you are interested.

I didn't think many people even knew about these snare drums. My teacher told me they were very rare. Extremely heavy. Very responsive.

Yeah, these are beyond rare. I've never seen one for sale on ebay or anywhere else...I think Hinger only made a small handful for friends. I know of an orchestral player that owns one, which he was given from Hinger as a gift.

It's not a Touch Tone, but Olympic Drums has a Hinger Space Tone, but it ain't cheap. I've had my eye on it for awhile.

I have my teacher's that he made with Mr. Hinger when he studied with him. It was one of the very early ones made. I've poked around a little bit and the number of them that were made is hard to truly discern. I have used it in many different situations and it is a very versatile drum. My students love using it and treat it like a baby. Mind you, a very heavy baby. I saw the price tag on that Space tone. Wow!!! Be nice to add that to the collection though.
