Parts for Sonor Teardrop 3ply with re rings

Hi guys!

I just bought parts of a Sonor Teardrop kit a 20" bass drum and a 13" tom. I'm about to fix it up. So any info you guys could give me would be appreciated. I need rod sizes, Wingnut sizes, T-rod sizes wich claw hooks fits and so on. I'm missing the following parts. 20" bass drum hoops wood. Claw hooks, T-rods. Tom arm, cymbal arm on bass drum. Bass drum spurs and a complete 16" or 14" floor tom.

Hope to get some response from you guys.Bowing

I checked the sonormuseum.com and ST-drums in germany with no luck.

Hi there,

The floor toms for these kits are 16". I don't think 14" FTs were ever made. I have never ever seen or heard of a 14" 3-ply teardrop FT.

Put up an ad in the Wanted section over at the Sonormuseum message board, too.

Magnus,Sonor did make a 14x14 floor tom in the 60's 3 ply with rings..These are very rare to fine..I know of 6 of these floor toms i have one with one of my Sonor set's.I also have a few friend's that have set's with them.Also know of two other set's with these floor toms..But you are right most set's had a 16" floor tom these are easy to fine....Mikey

Hi Mikey,

That's cool, I didn't know that. I've only seen the 16" FT. The only 14" teardrop FTs I've heard of were custom built recently by Sonor geeks. I'd love to see one of those old 14" FTs, though. You are very lucky to have one. Any pics?
