This is for sale here. I'm not interested in buying it but thought it should be recorded here for future reference maybe. Any idea of the manufacturer?

Fayray--Wellard is a set that was made by Pearl..If you see on the mounted and floor toms 8 lugs per a side.Bass drum 10 lugs per a side..This is the same set as a Crown set same lugs mounts ete on the shells.Shells can be 4 ply with rings that would be pre 1970..If the shells are 9 ply with no rings after 1970 till about 1975..What are they asking for the set??....Mikey

Hi Mike

$50 NZD is the starting bid which has already been bid. Im local to the kit and am watching the auction whereas Andrew is a touch too far to pickup. I don't really need another kit but if its rare then arghhh who am i kidding.... im all up in there.

hey Andrew wanna start a NZ MIJ vintage drumset co-op? You be the North Island edition and I will be the Southern Outpost. It will be real secret and no one will ever know we exist just setting about buying all the MIJ kits in NZ

muahahahaha LoLoLoLo

I would not go over 175.00 U.S. for the set..Its true that these Pearl made set's with 8 lugs on all the toms are rare to come by....Mikey

A bit of research shows that wellard Industries was a New Zealand musical intrument supplier and this was a stencil kit for the NZ market.

Lucas - I have too many as it is hence why I'm selling the Pearl kit. Besides, I reckon the best deals are in your neck of the woods:)

Sweet as bro.

I'm after that kit now that I know it's province and local connection.

Wow man! An MIJ kit that was made for the NZ market. Thats wild....

Plus Mikey777 seems to think they are above average quality.

Looks like silver sparkle to me under that crud.
