I had some straps made for the Rogers Swivomatic I'm working on. The ones that came with it, while great looking, were pretty worn and probably stretched.
So I had some made, with pretty stout leather. The thing is, it's a little too stiff to fold back and do that groovy Swivomatic fold up thing. I've put a bunch of softener the leather guy GAVE me (obviously, the guy who actually owns the business!). But it still won't bend.
Is there something I can soak these in? I want them to be more flexible, but not vulnerable to stretching. But I'm wondering if there's something to soak these in.
Ideas?
Is there an NOS source for these? Not sure I'm that obsessive yet.
