Precision Floor Tom

This came with a bunch of vintage drums I recently purchased and I was just looking to get some more info on it. It's a 16x15 Floor Tom from LYRA. Badge says Precision on it. Wondering the approximate year and what these things usually go for. Wrap is bad but everything else seems kosher. Minus a surface stress crack from a lug being overtightened. Thanks in advance.

Your tom is a Star made drum from the mid 60's.The shell us a 3 or4 ply with 3 rings..A nice little drum.You should be glad that you have all the T-rods,these are hard to come by they are thin odd size metric threaded.....Mikey

Since the wrap is fairly toast, it would be a great add-on to a kit as it should have a good resonant tone, similar to a Slingerland but not quite as low toned. If you keep it, lacquer the interior with brushing lacquer 2-4 coats, that will improve the projection. Don't use poly as it makes these thin shells sound like, well, plastic. Lacquer will still allow the resonance to shine through.
