MIJ Unique Wrap Finishes on the 'bay...........

I have never seen this wrap before:

Looks like a combination of Gold and Blue Sparkle. When I first saw the picture, it looked like it was either gold or blue sparkle that had been wrapped over blue or gold sparkle, and it was damaged and flaking off!

This wrap reminds me of a "Vertical Butcher Block" with a touch of "Root Beer Wrap" thrown in:

Two unique finishes that I had not seen before.

The 'Del Rey' snare drum looks to have been genuine blue sparkle, but due to fading PLUS a curious 'chemical reaction' is has turned partly to green and gold sparkle :eek:

It's also the first time for me to see such a finish.

The 'Majestic' snare drum could be the 'Fibre Gold' finish from STAR (at the early 70s). Here in this forum are some pics around from sets with this wrap. I like to call it 'bamboo wrap' :cool:

I saw the Del Rey and was wondering about that myself. It could be a rewrap as there is no grommet.

I am trying to find sdome pictures of the fibre gold majestic drums, can you direct me to a link? I also want to buy a snare drum in this color, any sellers out there?

The Blue /Gold sparkle swirl is a genuine finish. Someone displayed an entire set of this on the Forum several months ago.
