I was going to say that the hardware looks more like Yamaha than either Star or Pearl. The lugs are unlike anything I have ever seen.Very unique and individual.Nice.....
Joodee! Joodee! Joodee! OW!

Ive been checking out the early Yamaha catalogues, and the lugs sure look similar. There is a huge gap in the vintage drum guide in terms of catalogue scans. I could see the tom mount happening in the early-mid 70's. Its a mystery, but still a very cool kit!

well the mount looks like this one on a Maya kit. I think this is a Hoshino product but someone like Mikey or Jonni will know for sure. Late 70s I think.

The set is a Hoshino made set about 1974-76.The lugs are a cross of a copy of a Gretsch/Slingerland lug. This lug was only used these years Slingerland went after Hoshino on copy right'sof the kugs shape.Slingerland won that case.If i recall right Hoshino used that tom mount up to about 1980..I can not recall the music importer who inported these set's with the name of Joodee but i think is was in the mid west in the U.S......Mikey
Thanks Mikey! Thats some good info!
So its Pearl technically, huh? Weird. That MAYA kit is EXACTLY the same thing!
Anyway...no offers on the kit so Im gonna keep it. Screw it! The finish is awesome!
