Vintage Beverley Drum kit blue oyster wrap

Hi all you vintage drum enthusiasts! I am new to this forum and after looking around the site I was hoping I could get some help dating some Beverley drums I have. I have added some pictures for you to look at.

I have a 20" bass drum and a 12" rack tom. They are great looking drums in blue oyster wrap. Would love to complete the kit.

If anyone can shed any light on the date/ history or value of this kind of kit I would be most interested to hear from you. Also if you have a matching floor tom for sale let me know! Regards to all and thanks in advance.

Your drums are from the late 60's. There's lots of information on the internet about Beverly, (do you have a search engine ? )

Yes, I do have a search engine, but to my knowledge a relevant forum is a good place to start sharing information with people who have a similar interests and specialist knowledge. I help many people a week on a classic vehicle restoration forum which is my specialist field. I don't recall ever answering a post with the "go find the answer yourself" attitude. Hopefully tdennis is not a typical representative of this forum.

By the way, it's BEVERLEY, not BEVERLY.

Would welcome any less arrogant responses from other members.

I don't do anything with Beverley, but your stuff was made by Premier, more than likely, if they are 60s stuff. Before that, they were made by Dean and Son, Beverley UK. So, excellent shells and hardware in either case.

Also, crank up your search engine and go to drumarchive.com and you'll see Beverley catalogs you can download.

This is one of those knock out wraps on a pedestrian drum set. The big b badge emerged around late 60's. It's definitely a Premier made pair.

For info on british drums, the "Vintage Gear" section on mikedolbear.com http://www.mikedolbear.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=3is THE place.

A floortom in that wrap will be hard to find, though not impossible if you are very patient.

Welcome to the forum! There is quite a lot of knowledge available here. Tdennis is a great contributor on this site and I am sure he didn't mean to offend with his post. Everyone deserves a little grace now and then.

Enjoy your time here. I have found this site to be informative and generally great fun.

By the way, your drums look quite cool. I know nothing about them but I do quite like Premier drums.
