Yes, steam bent single ply maple with solid maple re-rings. The classic Slingerland RK shell, but in this case it's in round with excellent bearing edges!

That's a real beauty. And cool a solid maple shell too. Very nice. This all gives me a much better idea what to look for and the timeframe. Man you guys all have some VERY nice stuff~! I dig it thanks. Cool1

Don't forget the single ply ARTIST model snares, more readily available in the 5.5 X 14 size and less expensive than an RK...:2Cents:

Never play it the same way once.

Nice! I hope BDC gets all the money for it. They took great care of me on the 59 Premier kit I just bought from them.

That snare went for 1200-1400 new. Not many made.

It's up for $799 BIN. I had no idea they went for that much new either. Good to know and helps me when I'm shopping. Enjoy the new 59 kit it's a real beauty.

What edge profile was used for the Nashville drums? Curious to know if they sharpened it up just a bit.

Not sure exactly but on my Nashville the edges looked pretty old school and were rounded quite a bit

I think the went modern in their studio king line released around the same time. It was plyed stuff, with 45 edges if I recall correctly

I have a set of Studio Kings. The "Broadway" outfit. Fantastic drums. Edges are wide and rounded, the way they should be.
