I have seen that little design of the drum shell with the pair of sticks before----associated with Gigster drums. The general design though, has a bit of artdeco to it ----I would guess ,the 30's. Was production not halted during the war, in favour of military production, so late 40's designs would have harkened back to the 30's for a while anyway.

phil..just realised it in one of my drum books...by Geoff Nicholls(The Drum Book)..its on a Carlton Single Snare drum c 1937...i've also bought a snare drum with this badge which should be delivered very shortly and i will then post up a picture of it when it arrives mate!

That badge is from the late 30s, and reappeared again in the late 40s, I think

I'm looking for one for my late 30's (39 I think) 14" tom.

What a beauty! It's green too!

My drum uses a different badge - not sure - but I think mine had a badge that was more of a rectangle. At least that's what I think the marks are on the original shell (drum's not in front of me right now).
